HUMAN STUDY #7, LE TEMPS DE LIRE

In this performative installation, participants are invited to choose a book and read it for thirty minutes whilst being drawn by two robots.

The installation invites us to reflect on the value of time and attention in the digital age. In a world saturated with information and solicitations, where cultural capitalism reigns supreme, the act of reading becomes a gesture of resistance and a reconquest of our inner temporality. The robots capture the essence of these suspended moments. The frenetic, almost nervous features that make up the figures of the readers, translate the immobility of the body absorbed by reading.
The invitation to participate in a performance, to let oneself be drawn by a machine for 30 minutes of reading, amplifies this experience.
The installation features two paintings and a video projection.
